Action had Boldness. It has Power and it has the ability to inspire, to motivate, to excite and to create a tidal wave of progress.
All too often we talk about doing something. We ramble about the things we are unhappy with, the things we need, the things we desire, the things we know we should do.
All too often, those are just breaths of air wasted. Words lost to the winds.
No action. No movement. No progress. No power.
You’ll find that the momentum of starting something is like walking.
it’s an ever so slight forward fall that forces the next foot to go in front of the other and before you know it you are jogging, then you are running, then you are sprinting.
Then it’s easy and you ask yourself “why didn’t I do this sooner?”
Challenge that thing that scares you (I should challenge CrossFit, it terrifies me). Go after that element that makes your palms wet, your heart race and your tummy turn. Face the things that scare you. Face them head on. They’ll do one of two things, 1) they’ll no longer be scary or 2) they’ll slap you in the face reminding you why you were scared in the first place… Likely the former will happen.
I have yet to be slapped in the face by fear.
So tomorrow, when you wake up and say “man, I really need to do something about this_____________” START. Stop talking. Stop wasting words and START.
Join the gym, go for a run, eat a salad, jump on the Intermittent Fasting train. TRY something.
Because if what you’re doing right now isn’t working… why are you still doing it?
